January 27 through December 6, 2008 Back in 2001, I heard about Bill Briggs' attempt to climb Long's Peak by a different route in each month of a calendar year. At the time, I just wanted to have a single ascent of Long's Peak in each month, though spread out over many years. Bill Briggs made a valiant try to accomplish this task, twice, but fell short each time, though he did manage to climb Long's Peak every month of a calendar year and by 11 different routes. Now I'm giving it a go, to climb it by 12 different routes, one in each month of the calendar year.
