Description | This outing climbs all five numbered Flatirons by their complete East Face routes. There is some flexibility in what route to take, but the cleanest is to start at the lowest point of the rock and climb up the east face to the summit without stepping off the rock (this is only an issue on the Second and Fourth Flatirons and is pretty much impossible to avoid for the Fourth). |

I'm pleased about this, because I've been wanting to do it this way for over two years. A few years ago I realized the cool thing - and really efficient - would be to DC the 2nd AND the 5th, thus adding difficulty but subtracting a huge amount of distance, and I finally had the chance to try it out. It's a creative and fun route. Top 1st 24:35 |
